Inlays/Onlays
These restorations are used to repair teeth that are too damaged or decayed to be fixed with a filling but don’t require a full dental crown (they are sometimes referred to as “partial crowns). They allow your dentist to preserve more of your natural tooth, which will help keep your smile stronger over time. They are made of high-quality dental porcelain, which makes them both durable and natural-looking. An inlay is used to restore a tooth’s lost internal structure, much like a filling, while an onlay can replace a portion of a tooth’s cusp (the jagged upper portion).
